Jabburr

Senior mobile developer · contract

A social app with a marketplace in it. People post and follow each other, and they can buy and sell too. I was the only developer on the mobile side there for about four years.

Grew from a handful of users to 250,000+ downloads across iOS and Android.

2022 — 2026

KloudMD

Mobile lead · Pilot Practice · contract

Marketing and automation software for medical practices. I was the only developer on the mobile side for two years and built the app itself. I worked on their website on and off as well.

2023 — 2025

LynqOne

Founder · engineer

My own product. It's an app for a wireless GPS tracker, so you pair the tracker and then the app is where you see where it is and where it has been. I built it and I run it.

2026

SponsHer

Mobile & full-stack · contract

A referral community for women looking for work, where members put each other forward for roles at their own companies. I worked on the app and on the backend behind it.

2023 — 2024

Cafe Runner

Mobile developer · contract

Food delivery and catering on the Central Coast of California. They run meals out to homes and offices and set up buffet platters for parties. There are separate apps for the customer ordering, the driver doing the run, and the restaurants they work with. I worked on it on and off for about three years, and rebuilt the app from the ground up once the old code had degraded past the point of patching.

2020 — 2023

Aureans

Mobile developer · contract

A software company in the UK. I was on contract with them for years building mobile apps for their clients, which mostly meant the ordinary work: build the screens, hook them up to the API, test it, fix it, get it released.

Five apps over six years.

About

Nigeria (WAT)
Chuks Ben Okafor, outdoors against trees and an overcast sky
Chuks Ben Okafor Awka, 2026

I've been building mobile products for eight years, usually as the only engineer on them.

I own the whole thing, not just the screens — the apps, the services behind them, and the internal tools someone uses to run the business.

Most of the work is unglamorous. Making an app open quickly. Keeping it usable when the signal drops. Fixing what broke in production. Nobody asks for any of that up front, but it's what decides whether an app gets kept or deleted.

Rough budget
